On Oct. 4, Vincenzo Staiano, owner of the pizzeria “O zi Aniello”-also known as“the Pope’s pizzaiolo“-has been invited to the Sacro Convento in Assisi on the occasion of the feast of St. Francis, Patron Saint of Italy.
The story behind this nickname, “the pope’s pizzaiolo,” is quickly told. This stage name, in fact, was given to him for making the Pontiff and the poor eat pizza at the Vatican. On the occasion of Pope Francis’ proclamation of Mother Teresa’s sanctification, Staiano organized a large event where he offered pizza to 2,500 people.
The Master Pizzaiolo, on this occasion, will wear the jacket with the logos of Molini Spigadoro, but most importantly he will use our pizza flours during the “Pizza in the Square” event to be held on October 2 in the Lower Square of St. Francis.
Molini Spigadoro Company will also be present at the presentation press conference.
