Cake pops are balls of cake served as if they were colorful lollipops. They can be decorated in a variety of ways: with sugar paste, chocolate, water frosting and whatever your imagination suggests! We suggest an irresistible water frosting made with Taste and Color, natural dyes extracted from fruits and vegetables. They are perfect for Carnival and, in general, for all parties… kids will love them!

Ingredients for about 20-25 cake pops

Preparation

In a bowl, sift the flour with the vanillin, then add the sugar and eggs.

Start mixing then add the soft butter at room temperature and mix until smooth and lump-free. Add just enough milk to make a firm but not hard mixture, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Brush the plates of the cake pops maker with a little oil, close the appliance and let the plates heat up well.

Using 2 teaspoons, fill the molds halfway with the refrigerator-cold mixture, close the plate, and bake and puff the cake pops for about 3 minutes. Alternatively, you can bake them in the oven using special cake pop molds.

To prepare the water frosting: using several small bowls, dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of each dye with 5 grams of lukewarm water, add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth and lump-free.

Wet each cake pops stick in the frosting and stick it into the cake balls. Then dip each cake pop into the small bowl with the frosting by holding it by the stick and being careful to coat each ball well with frosting. Gently whisk the cake pops over the small bowl so that the excess frosting drips off, then set them to dry prone in a glass with a plate underneath.

Decorate with sprinkles, balls, etc. by dropping them on the surface of the cake pops before the frosting is dry or, if the frosting continues to drip, let dry completely then brush with sugar water to make the balls and/or sprinkles stick well. Allow the cake pops to dry completely.

You can accompany the cake pops with milk flavored with the same dyes that impart natural colors and flavors to the drink!
