Venere rice has numerous benefits for the health which is why it is recommended for a healthy diet. It falls into the “super food” category due to its nutritional properties because it contains water-soluble vitamins, mineral salts and fibre. There are more antioxidants in Venere rice, known as anthocyanins, than in blackcurrants, which combat the action of free radicals. The rice grain is ground to obtain black rice flour which is dark grey and very fragrant.
It should be added to wheat flour at 20% and is ideal for preparing bread, cakes and fresh pasta. It can be mixed with Gluten-free Flour to obtain mixes that are suitable for those who are gluten intolerant or suffer from coeliac’s disease. Suitable for mixing by hand or with a bread-making machine.
