Quality and Food Safety and Environment Policy
The Management of Molini Spigadoro S.p.A. believes that Customer satisfaction is the priority element to increase the Quality and improvement of its products. In addition, it believes that the involvement of all Personnel is fundamental for the implementation of a Quality Management System and for Food Safety, quality, legality and authenticity of products in order to maintain a high standard of hygienic sanitation and food safety for the products obtained within its structure.
In order to meet the needs and expectations of the Customer, Interested Parties and to improve the Quality of its products, the Management is committed to:
- Raise awareness of all Personnel on the needs of the Customer, Interested Parties and the issues of Food Quality and Safety Culture by focusing on the issues of legality and authenticity of products through continuous and targeted training, also aimed at raising awareness of all operators on business ethics;
- Address and disseminate to all staff the principles of Food Quality and Safety legality and authenticity of products to increase the level of guarantee of hygienic and sanitary quality of the facility and productions;
- Ensuring flexible management of all processes and systematically implementing effective actions for the continuous improvement of the QMS and Food Safety through the implementation of preventive and corrective actions, analyzing the results of Part I, II and III audits, analyzing target data, and periodically reviewing the QMS and Food Safety using, for the latter, the HACCP method based on the Codex Alimentarius (new publication Rome, 2023) and by constantly keeping under review the applicable standards and laws also through the continuous revisions of voluntary standards aimed at the concepts of food safety, quality, legality and product authenticity.
- Facilitate internal and external communication with the Customer and Suppliers in order to develop greater awareness with respect to maintaining and improving Food Safety and Quality requirements, focusing on the concepts of legality and authenticity through specific risk analysis along the supply chain.
- Define the duties and responsibilities of all Molini Spigadoro S.p.A. operators to keep under control the management of the processes necessary for the operation of the QMS, Food Safety and environmental and sustainability issues;
- Ensure the use of non-GMO raw materials in accordance with current regulations.
Respect for the Environment in its various forms of impact is a commitment that this Directorate adds to the others.
Especially the reduction of water and energy consumption and waste generation.
The priority objective of Molini Spigadoro S.p.A. is to consolidate its reference position in the production of flours with high technological performance, through constant technical-plant evolution in full compliance with environmental and safety issues in the workplace and continuous monitoring of the characteristics of the product made, guaranteeing the Food Safety, quality, legality and genuineness of its productions.
Achieving this goal requires that the ability to produce products that meet the needs and expectations of Customers in terms of:
- Obtaining the established quality at an appropriate price.
- High attention to the food safety characteristics of the products made.
- Compliance with laws (Legality) and industry standards.
- Compliance with the specifications (authenticity).
- Flexibility in delivery capabilities.
- High after-sales service component.
The type of customers supplied by Molini Spigadoro S.p.A., are users (food industries, artisan bakeries, pizzerias….) and wholesalers for bulk product and 25 kg bags, large-scale retail, retail and online sales for 1 kg and 500 g products.
Each production and management process is developed and continuously improved according to both quality and Food Safety requirements, as well as full compliance with due diligence in preventing health and safety hazards to workers, and reducing the environmental impacts of the plant.
Molini Spigadoro S.p.A. intends to confirm its strategy oriented towards identifying the expectations and opportunities of the Italian market, correctly describing the qualifying performance of the products/services offered, as well as maintaining a Management System for Quality and Food Safety, legality and authenticity of the finished product that complies with the requirements of UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, the BRC and IFS Standards in their most recent versions, the new version of the Codex Alimentarius and the mandatory legislation (including BAT 1 of Commission (EU) 2019/20131).
All this necessarily involves the active involvement of all personnel who perform and verify activities having influence on the Quality and Food Safety of the products produced and the Environment.
Therefore, the individual employee must be enabled to understand and be able to properly perform the tasks entrusted to him or her, without wasting resources, gathering, comparing and using every idea that leads to improvement; he or she must also be personally responsible for the Quality of his or her work by engaging in the acquisition of the knowledge necessary for proper performance within the scope of his or her activity, as codified by the Company. In addition, the involvement of all personnel on the application of a risk-based thinking approach is aimed at planning and implementing actions to deal with risks and opportunities, which arise as a result of a favorable situation to the achievement of an expected result, that occur or may occur in the application of Management Systems, as well as for the achievement of business objectives.
Appropriate objectives for Quality and Food Safety and Environment, measurable and consistent with the above, are established and recorded on the Improvement Plan and reviewed annually at the Review. At this time, Management reserves the right to verify the proper implementation of the Quality Policy, evaluating the feedback derived from appropriate indicators and adjusting the objectives to be pursued accordingly.
This document is both the management’s statement of intent and the communication and engagement tool for all staff.
