Today, we bring to your table a yeast product that is simple to prepare, tasty to enjoy and, thanks to the clever use of natural food coloring, also beautiful to look at and show off to friends and family.
Ideal for breakfast and a mouthwatering snack, when topped with any spread, the loaf puts (almost) everyone on the same page. Plus, it is low in fat and free of preservatives. What more can we ask for from a recipe?
Ingredients for 1 loaf
- 400 g of flour
- 200 ml of rice milk
- 12 g fresh brewer’s yeast
- 40 ml extra virgin olive oil
- 4 teaspoon sugar
- 3 g of Taste&Color Green
- 3 gr of Taste&Color Yellow
- 3 gr of Taste&Color Pink
- 3 g of Taste&Color Red

Preparation
In a bowl, mix 100 grams of flour and salt, with Gusto&Colore Green food coloring. The result is a green dough, which bodes well for the overall goodness of the recipe we are about to prepare.
But let’s proceed. We have a loaf to knead and bake.
In another bowl, dissolve 3 grams of yeast in 50 ml of rice milk, adding the teaspoon of sugar. Combine the resulting contents with the flour, and also pour a little oil into the dough.
At this point, all you have to do is mix the ingredients well and create a smooth dough ball. Transfer the loaf to a salad bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
Let rise (and rest), at room temperature, for about 2 hours. Basically, until doubled in volume.
Okay, now, your first dough is ready. Now, you need to repeat thewhole process for the other 3 colors as well: yellow, pink and red.
Once all 4 doughs are ready (and colored), you can move on to the next step.

On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the first dough (the green one), using a rolling pin. Roll out the doughs as well, taking care to follow the rising order.
Once you have rolled out all the doughs, overlap them, following this order: red, yellow, pink and green.
Roll the doughs on themselves, and cut off the two ends of the (future) bread. Take a plum cake mold, grease it with a little oil, and lay the bread inside. Cover everything with a damp tea towel and let it rise foranother hour.
Finally, bake the bread at 180° C, in a static oven, for about 40 minutes.
Et voila! Have you ever seen (and tasted) such a good and colorful loaf?
